Napoleon Hill is one of the founding fathers of self expansion. Such is his impact along the arena of self development and constructive thoughts, several – if not the majority – of today’s motivational gurus would be nobody’s. If it was not for the book Think And Grow Rich, I would personally not be where I am currently, so I find it applicable to beginning off the series of Influential Individuals with the person himself: Napoleon Hill.
Napoleon Hill is among the innovators of wealth creation and one of the groundbreaking motivational authors—the man and the work, in actual fact, who has served as the foundation of some of the most accomplished and respected self- help and affluence gurus of today.
Napoleon Hill wasn’t born within riches; this single simple reality, whenever contemplating where his life led him, served as ever more evidence the man knew about what he spoke, wrote, and tutored.
Hill was born in 1883 in Pound, Virginia, an Appalachian mountain town in the US state of Virginia. The home he was born into is explained as an “impoverished, one- room cabin” and Hill’s family members unit struggled monetarily throughout his childhood and early adulthood.
Napoleon Hill’s mother passed away when he was only nine years old, and his father remarried a couple years later. Not long after that, at the especially early age of 13, Napoleon Hill went to do business for various minor- village papers, operating as a “mountain reporter”. That was the truly humble beginning of the writing occupation that would give birth to one of the world’s all- time perfect sellers, Think and Grow Rich.
Early on the intent of Hill’s fledgling publishing career was to enable him fund his way through university. He utilized what he earned as a teenage paper reporter to pay for law school, yet was forced to withdraw as soon as he didn’t own the cash to continue his law degree. Finally, the economic struggles of Napoleon Hill proved to be to the individual advantage of him and every single additional person who has gone on to reach riches thanks to Hill’s work.
